A Little Description About Me.

Being the first female Assistant Chair of CFC a milestone that reflects her trailblazing leadership and commitment to excellence in supply chain management.

Sheila Akala holds a Master of Science in Procurement and Logistics from JKUAT, a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Science from UON, and a Professional Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies (MCIPS–UK). She also holds a certification in Warehousing and Inventory Management from ICTR. She is a licensed supply chain practitioner and a member in good standing with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (MKISM).

With over 19 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Sheila currently serves as Chief Manager, Supply Chain Management at New Kenya Cooperative Creameries Ltd (New KCC Ltd), a state corporation under the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs. She previously served as a Senior Procurement Officer at the University of Nairobi and Procurement Officer at Compassion International – Kenya.

Sheila brings a wealth of expertise in procurement, logistics, and inventory management. Her strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and results-oriented approach have driven improvements and operational efficiency throughout her career. She is also known for her outstanding interpersonal and negotiation abilities, which foster strong stakeholder relationships.

Born in Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega, and married in Budalangi, Busia, Sheila has been an active member of CFC since 2020. .
